VEILO AIR · First product concept · In validation

The VEILO brand

Making home technology disappear.

VEILO is a private product project in the validation phase — not yet a company. Its vision is to become a European design brand that integrates visible home technology into architecture and interiors, rather than adding it on top. VEILO AIR is the first product concept and is currently in development. The vision extends beyond a single product; no further concepts are disclosed at this stage.

The Problem

A beautiful room, interrupted.

You've chosen every surface with care. The plaster, the light, the joinery. Then a white plastic split unit lands mid-wall — glossy louvers, visible seams, a blinking LED. Air conditioning was never designed to belong in a room like this.

The Concept

A soft-radius concept for the split unit you already own.

VEILO AIR is being designed as a quiet architectural volume, engineered for retrofit installation around an existing indoor split unit — a single continuous silhouette, intended to read as part of the wall rather than as an appliance. Aesthetic direction only; the engineering and the mounting solution are still under development.

With VEILO AIR (concept) — Concept visualization — geometry and finish are still being refined.

Drag to compare

Concept visualization — geometry and finish are still being refined.

Design direction

Two silhouettes, one quiet intent.

Because indoor splits are not shaped the same way, VEILO AIR is being explored as more than one silhouette. Both aim at the same result: a calm, uninterrupted volume on the wall.

Direction A

Clean front

A pure, uninterrupted front face — the most reductive expression of the shell.

Clean front — Concept visualizations — final design still evolving.
Direction B

Soft detail

A subtle sculpted detail on the lower edge — a discreet accent while keeping the overall silhouette calm.

Soft detail — Concept visualizations — final design still evolving.

A more precise fit guide will be shared with the waiting list as the concept matures.

Why VEILO AIR

Designed to disappear.

01

Soft-Radius Silhouette

A single continuous volume with a gentle radius on every corner. The intended visual direction: no louvers, no visible seams, no visible fixings — a design goal we are still developing towards.

02

Made to belong to the wall

Shape, proportion and finish are being developed so that the cover reads as part of the architecture rather than as an added object.

03

Architectural finishes, in research

We are researching paintable and architectural finish options, with the goal that the surface can one day match the wall around it. Nothing is confirmed yet.

04

Aims to respect the unit

We are developing VEILO AIR with the goal of leaving the existing air conditioner and its function untouched. This has not yet been technically tested.

Optional · Ambient light (concept)

A quiet line of light, where the wall meets the room.

An optional warm ambient light is being explored as part of the object — a soft glow that turns the wall beneath into a frame for a photograph, a sketch or a single considered object. Design direction only.

How it is meant to feel

Three quiet steps.

1

Measure

We are researching which sizes would cover the most common indoor wall-mounted splits. Nothing is fixed yet; a fit guide will follow.

2

Place

VEILO AIR is engineered for retrofit installation around an existing indoor unit. The mounting system is currently under development — simplicity and reversibility are our goals, not yet proven results.

3

Finish

Our goal is a finish that can be matched to the colour of your wall. Finish options are still being researched.

For Architects

The detail you stopped drawing.

You spend months resolving every reveal, every shadow gap, every plane. Then a client insists on comfort, and a white unit lands mid-wall. Our long-term goal is that VEILO AIR becomes a specifiable, repeatable architectural element. Join the waiting list and help shape the first product.

For Homeowners

A room that finally exhales.

Our goal: nothing catches your eye when you enter. No glossy plastic curve, no blinking light — just the wall you chose and the light you love, with the unit that was already there left to do its work. We are developing VEILO AIR towards that goal; nothing has been technically tested yet.

Questions

Everything you might ask.

  • No. VEILO is a private product project in the validation phase, and VEILO AIR is a first product concept. No orders, deposits or purchase agreements are accepted. The waiting list is free and non-binding — a way to be informed as the concept evolves.

  • VEILO AIR is being developed with the goal of fitting the most common indoor wall-mounted split units. Compatibility with specific brands or models cannot be confirmed at this stage. A more precise fit guide will follow as the concept matures.

  • Preserving the air conditioner's function is a core design goal. Detailed information will only be shared once it has been properly validated.

  • The installation approach is intentionally not detailed at this stage. Simplicity, reversibility and leaving the existing air conditioner untouched are guiding design goals.

  • No launch date and no final price are set. VEILO AIR is currently in validation. The waiting list helps gauge interest and will be the first place updates are shared.

  • All product visualizations on this site are concept renderings — not photographs of a finished product. They communicate design intent, not final geometry, materials or performance.
